Senior Mining Engineer

Your tasks:

• Reviewing mine plans for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that the mine design, mining procedures, and stated recoverable reserves indicate that maximum economic recovery will be attained.
• Design underground and open pit mines using mining software programs such as Vulcan.
• Provide project expertise and advice on projects International mining clients.
• Monitor development of mining projects.
• Complete mine optimization (open pit and underground) using technical software such as Vulcan and checking reserves calculations and reviewing/generating production schedules
• Issuing formal notices of noncompliance and preparing written inspection and recommendations for corrective actions and to resolve controversial issues.
• Conducting independent in-office production verification calculations to verify the accuracy of the quantity of production reports for royalty purposes.
• Preparing the tract engineering report which covers inability and marketability.

Your Profile:

• Minimum Bachelor of science degree in mining engineering
• 5-10 years experience as a planning mining engineer in open pit mines.
• A high level of profieciency in mining planning software with knowlage of AutoCAD software is essential.
• Ability to work under stress, handle difficult situations and decision making.
• Organisational talent and problem solving skills.
• Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working.
• Extensive knowledge of the mining construction process and its implementation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• International and multicultural awareness.
• Willingness to travel.
• Driving license.
